SOON Paris, the limited edition artfair (Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th, December 2014 at Bastille Design Center, 74 Boulevard Richard Lenoir, Paris 11e) is a new appointment for the artistic creation. In a space with a human dimension, around 25 international galleries and publishers of contemporary original numbered artwork unveil their new artistic productions, prints, artist books, videos or objects.

Η διεθνής φουάρ SOON Paris, θα πραγματοποιηθεί από την Πέμπτη 11 εως την Κυριακή 14 Δεκεμβρίου 2014 στο Bastille Design Center, στο Παρίσι. Είναι μια νέα πλατφόρμα για τα εικαστικά, σε ανθρώπινες διαστάσεις, που θα δώσει τη δυνατότητα σε περίπου 25 γκαλερί και εκδοτικούς οίκους από όλο τον κόσμο να παρουσιάσουν αυθεντικά, αριθμημένα έργα τέχνης, ψηφιακές εκτυπωσεις, χαρακτικά, artist books, βίντεο και αντικέιμενα.

The group exhibition “Transformation” aims to explore through the eyes of eight contemporary artists the ways in which they transform artworks by earlier practitioners, taking photographic material or even literary texts and filtering them through their own gaze and artistic gesture to proceed with producing a meta-work.

 Starting from Art History and the use of concepts, materials or even actual works of the past, the artists are ultimately led along more personal paths with references to contemporary reality.

Η έκθεση Μετασχηματισμός έχει σκοπό να ερευνήσει μέσα από την οπτική οχτώ σύγχρονων καλλιτεχνών τους τρόπους με τους οποίους μετασχηματίζουν καλλιτεχνικά έργα παλαιότερων ομολόγων τους, φωτογραφικό υλικό ή ακόμα και λογοτεχνικά κείμενα φιλτραρισμένα μέσα από την προσωπική τους ματιά και την εικαστική τους χειρονομία δημιουργώντας την παραγωγή ενός μετα-έργου. 

 Έχοντας ως αφετηρία την Ιστορία της Τέχνης και την χρήση εννοιών, υλικών ή και ακόμα ατόφιων έργων του παρελθόντος, οι εικαστικοί οδηγούνται εν τέλει σε διαδρομές πιο προσωπικές και με αναφορές στην σύγχρονη πραγματικότητα.
